  • Have you ever tried to be a rapper?

  • Like really be a rapper?

  • Not just saying you want to bea rapper and writing a couple of bars for fun when you have a burst of inspiration.

  • Like constantly writing songs, going to the studio, studying past rappers, getting inspired by other rappers, putting out music, learning, getting better, and putting out better and better music.

  • Probably not. Because it’s hard. It’s not something people stick to, but that is what it takes to become a rapper.

  • Sure, you may have tried to be a rapper by writing a couple rhymes or putting out a song or two, but to be a rapper you have to work on it for a long time. It takes people years and years to become a successful rapper, so unless you’ve working at it constantly or are in the process of working at it everyday, you haven’t tried and aren’t trying to bea rapper.

  • Most people don’t do it because it is so hard.

  • I’ve always aspired to bea rapper, but I’ve never put in the timeor effort. It’s a dream and if I ever really want to turn that dream into reality I’ll need to dedicate a lot of timeand energy into actually being a rapper. More than just an hour or so every year whenever I have a little inspiration. I need to sit down and do the work.

  • But this is what it takes to do anything. Any successful writer will tell you about the countless hours they have spent alone writing. It takes timeto do anything and trying isn’t just putting in a little effort. It takes dedication. There is no shortcut.
